its called a hose mender you can get them at any hardware store and it only takes a few mins to put it on and only cost like 2 dollars
buy the cheapest hose you find, most will last a couple of years, but if you replace it every year, you won’t have to fight leaks.
you can buy connectors at the hardware store
Silicon tape, available in plumbing departmets at home centers
